Saw Evan Davis' amazing documentary on Warren Buffet. Buffet says the Dale Carnegie Course changed his life.  Lee Iaccoca said the same thing in his autobiography in the 1980's

I took the Dale Carnegie Sales Course in 1981 after I started by first job as a muffler sales person for Walker Manufacturing. It gave me the skills to take my territory from $200,000 per year to $2.700,000 per year within 12 months of completing the course.

Now I will not have any sales people who have not attended a comprehensive course like Dale Carnegie. If they are not trained, we invest in their training (just as Walker invested in my training).  In my experience 1-3 day seminars are not that effective. There is no substitute for the 6-8 week, 3 hours once a week course to realize real long term skills growth and performance improvement.
