You know ten years ago in my early forties, I knew nothing about websites, the internet, never mind social media. I was a late adopter of technology. Then in 2000 we started our Hong Kong company to take Meguiar’s Car Care products global. Meguiar’s was an early adopter of the web and had an amazing website. We set a goal to find a way to help set up our exclusive country distributors up with uniform, professional websites with all the bells and whistles of the mother site. When we set this ambitious goal, I had no idea how we would achieve it. Our office manager, a really switched on British lady, showed me a very interactive newsletter from her hair salon. I then asked her to see if we could meet the people behind it. That is how I came to meet Tim Hay-Edie, the man behind Pilot Simple Software.
Tim helped us create an international site with multiple languages that we later helped our distribution partners in over 15 countries adopt. It was amazing what it did for our business having local language sites in so many countries tapping into and becoming part of the car scene in those countries.
Our new business Posh Pile (see all the links to the right) is active on Face book, even to the point of running targeted promotions and ads, we have an effective website with a global site, a HK site, and China site, some of the top videos in the car mat category on You Tube, and we are even on Twitter. Tim taught us how to do this. Now even I can do social media and I fully understand how it helps our company connect with our end user.
Tim offers a free website health check. His website is www.pilot.com.hk Tim can be reached on 852-2810-4366 or tim@pilot.com.hk His quality and speed are great and his work is affordable for any small enterprise.
